STRATHMORE ICT COMPETITION
Opportunities and Challenges Towards an Entrepreneurial Economy”
Kenya Data Networks has signed a deal with Strathmore University to promote innovation through competition among the university students. KDN will sponsor the competition themed “Opportunities and Challenges Towards an Entrepreneurial Economy” which aims at identifying, rewarding and nurturing students with the most innovative ICT ideas.
The student will be required to develop software, portal products or a new service that can bridge the gap between the needs of a relatively young ICT market and the available fiber infrastructure. Speaking during Strathmore’s 10th ICT conference, KDN Chief Executive Officer Kai Wulff urged Kenyans to apply what they learn on technology. He said many students aspire for more education without thinking of applying what they have already learnt.
This competition is meant to stir the generation of content and knowledge which is the way forward if Kenya is to become an ICT hub.
