M-PESA Ratiba

M-PESA Ratiba – a new standing order service from MPESA to other M-PESA users or paybill or Till.  This innovation continues to entrench Safaricom as a major player in the financial sector – fintech.

You can automate daily, weekly or monthly bill payments or funds transfers directly from your M-PESA.  Most M-PESA users pay for Internet Fibre connection and send pocket money, pay wages to their employees, and insurance policy renewal among other services.

Terms for use of the M-PESA Standing order service 

• The service is charged at Ksh  5 per transaction above the normal transaction fees.
• The service will not work if you have a Fuliza debt on your MPESA line
• The customer will not be penalized for failed standing orders because of insufficient funds in their M-PESA wallets.
• Customers set the start and end dates for disbursements. The time of disbursement is automatically set to 5 minutes after the standing order creation time. If you fix the standing order at 7 am, it will run at 7 am – 705 am on the scheduled start date.
• You get notified if a scheduled payment fails to go through and you may have to pay this manually.

2. Save in a sacco or money market fund
3. Buy an Airtel airtime subscription from M-PESA on autopilot
