How To Register With The Kenya eCitizen Portal
The Kenyan Government is serious about digital matters it plans to offer all its services online through the eCitizen portal.
This means mwananchi will get most of the government services at the comfort of their homes or cyber.
To access the eCitezen portal one needs to create an account on the portal.

- Your ID number
- Working Email Address
- Working Mobile Phone Number
- Passport size photo
How to Create an eCitizen Account
Registration is a few steps process that is easy to maneuver
- Log on to eCitezen portal and click on create account .
- Choose from the four types of accounts i.e Kenyan citizen, Foreign Residents, Visitors and Business
- Here we look at the Kenyan citizen account creation
- Enter your ID number and your name as it appears on the ID and click validate
- Enter your email address, conform the email address
- Enter your mobile phone number
- Create a password of your Choice, conform the password
- Check the box I agree to the terms and condition then click continue
- Upload a passport size photo and click continue
You are now registered on the eCitizen portal
Then you should cross check your systems because I cant register my I.d which I just got about a week ago
