How to open a standard chartered current account

Opening a Standard chartered bank account is easy and fast. On a very good day it should take you less than 20 minutes if you insist on getting it fast enough. This means you get your number and card to go.  The requirements are easy to meet and anyone can apply for account with standard chartered.

The account is available in Kenya Shillings, British Pounds, US Dollars and the Euro.

Alternatively it will take about a week for you to collect your card but you should be able to be allocated a number.

The Minimum opening requirements for an individual Current Account are

• Original / copy of National ID or valid passport
• One passport size photograph
• Proof of residence; either utility bill / tenancy agreement- a water or electricity bill in your name should do. If this is not available a call report will come in handy. This is a sketch of a map to your residence.
• Minimum opening balance of Ksh. 2,000
