Green Cleaning
There are some inexpensive environmental friendly products that can be used for household cleaning instead of more commercial cleaning products:
Baking soda– cleans, deodorizes, softens water and scours
Borax– cleans, deodorizes, disinfects, softens water, cleans painted walls and wax build-up
White vinegar– cuts grease, removes mildew, odours, some stains and wax build-up
100% proof alcohol– in a solution of water is an excellent disinfectant
Cornstarch– can be used to clean windows, polish furniture, shampoo carpets and rugs
Citrus solvent– cleans paint brushes, oil, grease and some stains
Tri-sodium phosphate (TSP) – is toxic if swallowed, but it can be used for challenging tasks, like cleaning drains, that normally require more poisonous chemicals.
