Reverse Lipa Na M-PESA Buy Goods & Services
If you send an MPESA payment to a wrong till number using the Lipa na MPESA Buy Goods & Services, do not despair. You can get the funds back. You can get the M-PESA transaction reversed. Call Safaricom on 234 and ask for them to initiate the MPESA reversal.
Reverse Lipa Na M-PESA PayBill
To reverse a Lipa Na M-PESA PayBill, you have to contact the merchant directly and request for the reversal.If you do not have the merchant number, call Safarciom directory on 191 and ask for the number of the merchant who runs the  MPESA PayBill. The business will check the transaction and advice you how soon the M-PESA paybill reversal will be done usually within two days for most businesses.
What You need
- The M-PESA transaction id
- Time you send the money on MPESA
- Your ID number
- Your full names
The procedure
There are several ways to initiate the reversal process
You can:
Sms the word ‘reverse’ to 234 or 100
Then forward the transaction sms received from M-PESA to the number 234
Call the numbers 234 or 100
Provide the transaction sms received from M-PESA
You can also chat with Safaricom from their selfcare site or twitter handle @Safaricom_Care

Hello, I’ve sold an item equivalent to ksh 16257 to Dennis Mkong on 0712616269, after few minutes he reversed the payment. I didn’t receive a call from safaricom letting me know the reversal happening on my mpesa account, but I call them and they said they could do nothing about it.
Some deceitful people are using the mpesa reversal service to con honest business people like you. We highly recommend that once you receive funds from the clients move it to Mshwari /your bank account before handing over the good/service. This way you will secure your money…Also you can set up a Lipa na MPESA or Pay bill account so that you funds go straight to your bank and can not be reversed without your consent.

You will need to call Safaricom and get another number of the business.

Before you send funds to anyone on mpesa you need to be sure thy will provide the service or you hav a legal agreement in case they fail to provide the service. Also ask for Paybill or Lipa na MPESA instead of sending to personal phone numbers. Yu may have to report to Safaricom by calling 100 for them to help you resolve this.
